Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance.

Acupuncture is used mainly to relieve discomfort associated with a variety of diseases and conditions which can stem from our chi or energy meridians that are out of balance in our bodies, including:

  • Anxiety and  stress
  • Insomnia – The buddhists refer to the Monkey Mind- Let me calm that for you. Balancing the mind and spirit are my specialty
  • Headaches, including tension headaches and migraines
  • Low back pain
  • Sciatica
  • Neck pain
  • Menstrual cramps and Associated issues with Menstrual Issues PMS Hormonal imbalance and Fertility. First step for fertility is to regulate the cycle which Acupuncture can do.
  • Chemotherapy-induced and postoperative nausea and vomiting
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Respiratory disorders, such as allergic rhinitis, sinusitis etc. Strengthening the lung qi during smoking cessation points for addictions.

Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management.
